Teks Lath Screws with sharp points are designed for attaching Lath to metal and wood framing, electrical accessories, and general applications requireing a low profile head. Capable of self-piercing metal up to 20 Gauge thick.

Drill Point

Teks Lath Screws with drill points are designed for attaching Lath to metal framing, electrical accessories, and general applications requiring a low profile head. Capable of self-drilling metal up to 12 Gauge thick.

Can these be used in Exterior apps?

Teks screws are available with a zinc or climaseal coating. Zinc coated screws are not recommended for exterior applications as seen on Lath and Metal to Metal screws. Roofing and Wood-to-Metal screws have a climaseal coating that can be used in exterior applications and help protect against corrosion. 

Can Tek Screws be used in Vinyl Fencing?

Teks have not been tested in Vinyl.

Are Teks Screws Salt Water resistant?

No. Salt water and coastal environments are extremely corrosive to screws. Recommended to use stainless steel screws when near salt water and coastal environments. 

Is there any test data or reports for the Lath Screw?

No.

Are Teks compatible with Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel will cause rapid corrosion when used with Zinc plated fasteners. 

What is Teks Climaseal Coating made of?

Zinc based with Thermalset polyesther metal filled coating (metal in coating is zinc).

Are Teks fasteners approved for use in ACQ lumber?

Teks Roofing and Wood-to-Metal fasteners are recognized for use in ACQ.
