Can Tek Screws be used in Vinyl Fencing?

Teks have not been tested in Vinyl.

Can the Roofing screws be used in Tin?

Yes, as long as the material gauge is no thinner than 20 gauge.

What is the lifespan of the neoprene washer?

The neoprene washer is very resistant to the elements.  There is a 1 year warranty on the fastener and the washer is included in the life of the fastener when installed properly.  

Are Teks Screws Salt Water resistant?

No. Salt water and coastal environments are extremely corrosive to screws. Recommended to use stainless steel screws when near salt water and coastal environments. 

Are Teks compatible with Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel will cause rapid corrosion when used with Zinc plated fasteners. 

What is Teks Climaseal Coating made of?

Zinc based with Thermalset polyesther metal filled coating (metal in coating is zinc).

What is the washer made of?

It is made from EDPM - Ethylene Proylene Diene Monomer (m-class) rubber.

Are Teks fasteners approved for use in ACQ lumber?

Teks Roofing and Wood-to-Metal fasteners are recognized for use in ACQ.
